Netflix celebrated the second season of its critically-acclaimed original drama series Marvel’s Daredevil with a star-studded premiere event at New York City’s AMC Lincoln Square 13. Cast members in attendance included Charlie Cox, Jon Bernthal, Deborah Ann Woll, Elodie Yung, Rosario Dawson, Elden Henson and Stephen Rider, as well as Marvel’s Daredevil executive producers/co-showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb. Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos and Vice President of Original Content Cindy Holland were also on hand. Other celebrity guests included the stars of Netflix’s highly-anticipated new series Marvel’s Luke Cage , Mike Colter and Frank Whaley, as well as Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Selenis Leyva(Orange Is The New Black), Yahya Abdul Mateen II (The Get Down), Skylan Brooks (The Get Down), Tremane Brown Jr. (The Get Down) and Shameik Moore (The Get Down), among others.
The festivities kicked offed with a screening event where attendees — including influencers, industry elites and members of the press — were treated to the first two action-packed episodes of Marvel’s Daredevil’s sophomore season. Following the show, guests flocked to the Skylight Modern, which had been fully transformed into an immersive New York experience – skyline and all. Perfectly capturing the essence of Hell’s Kitchen a la Marvel’s Daredevil, the space showcased walls that had been recreated into the series’ fictional “Josie’s Bar” and “Dogs of Hell” clubhouse, respectively, while food stations highlighted some of the Big Apple’s finest fare, including dim sum, pizza and cheesecake.
Marvel’s Daredevil launches its entire second season Friday, March 18th on Netflix.
